buildOn is growing in Philadelphia! buildOn, an established and highly-regarded non-profit organization that works to address the education crisis here in the United States and in developing countries around the world, is seeking a Development Director to create and implement an ambitious fund development strategy for a growing market. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, East Coast (who is based in Stamford, CT), this position will play an integral part in engaging strategic partnerships that will help achieve buildOn’s goals for Philadelphia.
The Development Director will be the only fund development staff located in Philadelphia – and must be a highly motivated self-starter willing to work independently to build the foundation for a well-rounded and successful fundraising program, as well as serve as the local spokesperson and ambassador for the buildOn brand in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to listen and create tailored pitches, both in writing and verbally, and will be excited by the responsibility of significantly increasing financial support for buildOn.
