Responsibilities
Manage client services within the Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, and the Aftercare Programs. The responsibilities of the Director include but are not limited to: directing, evaluating, and developing residential & aftercare programs & services; making necessary corrections to improve the quality of services; assisting with the creation and implementation of operational policies & procedures; assists the Director of Program Operations with strategic planning for residential and aftercare programs & services; acting as a liaison with related government entities and partner organizations; directly supervising the Case Management Coordinator, the Emergency Shelter Overnight Supervisor, and the Manager of Children’s Educational Services. The Director of Client Services will work closely with the Clinical Director and Facilities Director and other programs directors of WAA to ensure quality services for clients. All responsibilities will be done in accordance with the mission and vision of the Agency.
Qualifications:
• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related social science field is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience supervising staff in a complex social services organization is required with at least two (2) of these years spent in program development, implementation, administration and evaluation with this experience in emergency shelter preferred.
• A minimum five (5) years case management and/or counseling experience is required.
• Demonstrated excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively represent an advocacy agency or function is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to service of others is required.
• Bilingualism is strongly preferred.
• Some experience in working on domestic violence issues is strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..)
• Knowledge of the Sanctuary Model is a plus.
