SUMMARY: Variety-The Children’s Charity is seeking a Director of After School Programs and Transitional Services to lead a unique program that serves 150 youth with disabilities in the City of Philadelphia. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of After School Programs and Transitional Services will provide oversight of and guidance to the After School Program, oversee seven program sites in Philadelphia and supervise seven Site Coordinators. The Director will be responsible for developing, directing and supporting a comprehensive school-to-career transition program for high school-aged youth with disabilities.
Essential duties include: budget development and oversight; grant compliance; staff support and supervision; curriculum development; program evaluation. Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field, Master’s Degree a plus; at least five years of experience working with individuals with disabilities; Experience in program planning, development and supervision.
