POSITION SUMMARY:
One-Day-At-A-Time (ODAAT), a program partner of the Urban Affairs Coalition (UAC) is currently looking for an individual to fill the position of Director of Administration & Finance.
The individual selected for this position will report to the President of ODAAT and will oversee the day-to-day operations and the provisions of the program and services for clients referred to UAC and ODAAT from various city entities funding Drug & Alcohol Recovery, HIV/AIDS services, and housing for the chronically homeless. This individual will serve as liaison between UAC and ODAAT Recovery Inc. to provide seamless structure and communication between both organizations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor compliance and communicate with contacting agencies;
- Provide vision and creative leadership to grow the organization and increase its visibility and viability in the city and local community;
- Develop fundraising strategies and plan special events to increase annual budget by 20%;
- Oversee the coordination of special events and activities. Participate and support special events organized by funding sources such as: AIDS and Recovery Walk;
- Recruit and train staff. Conduct management and general staff meetings;
- Attend meetings, trainings and conferences required by funders;
- Work with diverse populations (race ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, etc.);
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the program and services;
- Meet all grant obligations and complete required reports for funders and all internal sources;
- Hire and work with consultants in the area of grant development and/or special events/activities;
- Organize and work with development team to ensure grant renewal and to identify new funding opportunities;
- Oversee budget creation and monitor collection of client fees and savings to ensure the financial soundness of the organization;
- Forecast and monitor trends in order to plan for future challenges and changes to funding cycles;
- Work with landlords to maintain the facilities and to resolve problems that occur throughout the buildings;
- Authorize vendor payments and ensure timely payment to vendors;
- Negotiate contracts and budgets with funders where appropriate;
- Identify opportunities to collaborate and partner with similar organizations to assist clients to maximizing their potential to move forward to self-reliance and economic self-sufficiency;
- Integrate services appropriately to ensure the overall efficiency and cost effectiveness of programs and services offered by the organization;
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the President.
