Director of Academics & Programming, Philadelphia Futures

Philadelphia Futures is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing low-income, first-generation-to-college students with the tools, resources and opportunities necessary for admission to and success in college. We are seeking a seasoned, high-energy professional who will bring significant management experience in addressing the academic and program needs of underrepresented students. The Director of Academics & Programming is responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the academic enrichment and programming needs for 275+ high school students. Major responsibilities include: developing and coordinating delivery of after-school academic enrichment classes and summer programs for students in grades 9-12; assisting the Director of Pre-College Programs with management and supervision of the Pre-College team; supervising members of the Academics team; leading major Pre-College programming; managing related data and preparing a variety of reports.

The Director of Academics & Programming will have substantial experience in program leadership, cultivating professional relationships and in developing educational programs, teaching and/or training. The successful candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outcomes-oriented, collaborative environment and will have experience in and a passion for working with underrepresented high school students. A Master’s degree plus five years of related program management experience is required for this full-time position. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
