Director, Idealist On Campus
Action Without Borders-Idealist.org (AWB) is seeking an inspiring manager to oversee and expand our campus programs. This position will be based in our Philadelphia office and report to our Associate Director in New York.
Background:
Action Without Borders-Idealist.org is a nonprofit organization that connects people, organizations and resources to help build a world where all people can live free and dignified lives.
Launched in 1995, Idealist.org has become the most comprehensive online resource for the nonprofit sector, with more than 45,000 nonprofit organizations from 180 countries posting their job openings, volunteer and internship opportunities, events, resources, and programs. Idealist attracts over 35,000 unique visitors each day, and over 250,000 people subscribe to My Idealist, a daily email alert that matches people around the world with the opportunities they seek.
Over the past several years, AWB has developed a strong presence on college and university campuses across the United States, and in 2003 we merged with COOL (the Campus Outreach Opportunity League), a Boston-based organization created in 1984 to support the involvement of students in community service and activism.
This merger led to the creation of our Idealist On Campus program to help connect schools, students, campus administrators, and local organizations and communities.
