The Director will lead and advance the Bank’s Economics Action Lab to develop and implement an Agenda on Poverty and Prosperity. The focus of the agenda is to bring entrepreneurial solutions to achieving inclusive economic growth in order to mitigate the effects of cyclical poverty. This initiative explores the way in which poverty limits economic growth and individual prosperity. The agenda delivers local action aimed at fostering regional solutions, which will effect lasting change in communities across the country.
The Director provides leadership and management oversight by directing the design of research, development of events, and engagement with the private sector to advance the newly established agenda and lead the bank to develop deep, national expertise on economic issues related to poverty, labor/employment, and income/wages and the role these topics plays in the economy, highlighting the specific impacts of race and ethnicity, gender, and geography (i.e. rural) with a focus on three critical areas: job creation and access, education and workforce development, and affordable housing solutions.
