Job description
Develops, cultivates and provides stewardship for donors. Leads specific development programs and donor/fund raising related aspects of our annual benefit event. Responsible for achieving fund raising goals through active and productive relationships with board members, donors and the community at large.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, cultivates, and solicits philanthropic support by developing and maintaining relationships with corporations, foundations, and individuals
  • Works with Advancement Council and Boards of Directors and Advisors to develop strategies to initiate and meet aggressive fundraising goals
  • Manages donor development and stewardship of giving circles
  • Manages fundraising aspects of Annual Benefit and works with committee to maximize outreach efforts
  • Works with Vice President of Development to develop fundraising strategies for middle to large-end donors
  • Builds working relationships and serves as development liaison to program leaders and other key personnel to achieve successful fundraising
  • Develops and manages timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fund raising processes are carried out in a timely manner
  • Supports the preparation of annual budget and program projects, strategic planning, and goal evaluation.
  • Nurtures culture of philanthropic support.
  • Partners with director, Donor Relations on all event decisions
  • Manages development processes and works with development team to redesign and improve work processes to meet donor and agency needs.
  • Monitors and evaluates all fundraising activities to ensure that the fundraising goals are being achieved
  • Implements fund development plans in accordance with ethical fundraising principles
  • Monitors trends in the community or region and adapts fundraising strategies as necessary

This is a 4 day a week position.
