National Community Capital recently promoted Adina Abramowitz to Chief Operating Officer. For the past six years, Adina has run our consulting business. This means there is an exciting opportunity available for a person who would like to work with CDFIs at the national level. Thanks for your interest!

Job Announcement: Director, Consulting National Community Capital Services offers comprehensive one-on-one consulting to CDFIs throughout the United States, including strategic planning, startup services, growth management, risk management, capitalization planning, and other consulting services. The Director, Consulting leads the consulting line of business, including supervising
staff and free-lancers, developing and refining products, marketing, and direct consulting. The Director, Consulting reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is part of the organization’s Management Team.

Is this job for you?
We are looking for someone with experience working at a CDFI, preferably in a management capacity, who is interested in building the capacity of the CDFI Industry to serve low income people and communities. This job requires technical skills, and the ability to work with organizations at various stages of development on a variety of challenges. This is a job where you will be learning all of the time about new trends, techniques, and innovations in the CDFI field and applying this knowledge in future assignments. You will also be managing a line of business with National Community Capital. You will work very closely with the Director, Training, to coordinate and develop National Community Capital’s CDFI capacity building services.

What is Required?
We are looking for someone who has experience working at a CDFI, or has extensive knowledge of the CDFI Industry, who has provided consulting or technical assistance for at least three years. A strong candidate will have management and supervisory experience, the ability to work constructively with diverse constituents and as a participant on multidisciplinary team, and an understanding of the complexities and challenges of community development finance. Substantial travel is required in this position.
