Digital Navigation Specialist, SEAMAAC

The Digital Navigation Specialist plays an important role in advancing digital equity in Philadelphia. The Specialist will conduct digital access outreach, phone support, and in-person support to low-income Philadelphians. This includes connecting families to “PHLConnectEd”, “Internet Essentials”, and other resources for free/low-cost internet, wi-fi, and digital devices. The Specialist will coordinate SEAMAAC’s Digital Navigation referral phone line. The Specialist also will train and manage project volunteers, distribute digital devices to clients, and maintain program data.
Duties/Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Conduct PHLConnectED phone outreach to eligible families
- Maintain the Digital Navigation call line and database
- Assist community members with finding solutions to digital literacy/digital access needs
- Conduct PHLConnectEd door-to-door canvassing in South and/or Northeast Philadelphia
- Train Digital Navigator volunteers
- Assist with distributing digital devices to identified clients in need
- Actively participate in Digital Navigator and PHLConnectEd meetings and workgroups
- Complete data entry and other program data collection requirements
- Link clients to interpretation/translation as needed
- Actively participate in organization-wide efforts and a minimum of 5 events per calendar year
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time
