OIC plans opening of neighborhood computer center
Philadelphia Opportunities Industrialization Center has announced its Digital Initiative Site Opening, featuring remarks by Mayor Michael Nutter, at 1231 North Broad Street on Friday, July 8th from 2:30 – 4:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting celebrates the opening of the Open Access Public Computer Center with a Job Search Corner, the Blended GED Classroom, a GED and workforce preparation program that combines online learning with classroom instruction, and OIC’s mobile computer lab – NOMAD (Neighborhood Opportunities through Mobile Accessible Destinations). This is one of the first mobile technology training labs conducting multiple classes throughout Philadelphia.
