Christian Murphy, PhD is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer & Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, and Director of the Masters of Computer & Information Technology program. His research interests include software testing, software engineering, and computer science education. Prior to joining the faculty at Penn, Dr. Murphy worked as a professional software developer for seven years, and earned a PhD in Computer Science at Columbia University in 2010.
Nalaka Gooneratne, MD, MSc, is a physician specializing in sleep disorders. His training included a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the faculty in the fall of 2000 as an instructor and became an Associate Professor in 2012. In addition to his research (funded by NIA, NCCAM and NHLBI), he is the Associate Program Director for the Clinical and Translational Research Center, and the mHealth service (mobile app development) within the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT). He is also the director of the Masters in Translational Research Entrepreneurial Science track.
