B. Digital Divide Network Computer Drive (Apr 27)
Date: Saturday April 27th 9:30-4:00
Location: Nonprofit Technology Resources 1524 Brandywine (one block
north of Spring Garden)
The Philadelphia Digital Divide Network will be accepting computers,
monitors ($5 fee), keyboards, mice, and printers ($2 fee). These small
fees will cover the cost of recycling the hazardous materials (including
lead and mercury) these items contain, or in the case of working
monitors and printers help cover the cost of refurbishing. Usable
equipment will be fixed or upgraded as needed for placement with local
nonprofit organizations, schools or low-income individuals. Unusable
equipment will be properly recycled.
