Dialogue with Robert D. Putnam, Internationally Acclaimed Scholar and Best Selling Author of Bowling Alone and Better Together: Restoring the American Community at the National Constitution Center (525 Arch Street)
Karen Kaskey, Executive Director of PennSERVE: Governor Rendell’s Office of Citizen Service, cordially invites you to join Robert D. Putnam for a thought-provoking evening, including a reception sponsored by PennSERVE, and Dr. Putnam?s lecture in the Kirby Auditorium of the National Constitution Center. Professor Putnam will speak on the topic of civic activism and successful efforts at building community as a means of addressing critical challenges facing our nation’s cities and regions.
His ideas on social capital and fortifying civic connectedness are sure to spark enthusiasm and promote new ways of thinking for us all.
From civic education to civic engagement, PennSERVE and the National Constitution Center seek to engage all Pennsylvanians in the essence of our participatory democracy.
