DHS plans youth engagement conference, seeks representatives
The Department of Human Services, Community Engagement unit is sponsoring a Youth Engagement Conference tentatively scheduled for May 2012.
DHS is currently recruiting youth leaders to sit on the Youth Engagement Leadership Steering Committee. These youth will be responsible for helping to develop the event.
All youth must be sponsored by an organization. Sponsorship includes ensuring the youth have adequate transportation to and from the monthly meetings, providing support such as in computer/internet access, and providing guidance, encouragement and support to the youth.
