Devereux seeks bilingual raters for ECE assessment tool
In 2008, the Devereux Center for Resilient Children published the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment for Infants and Toddlers. It is now finalizing the development of a Spanish version of the assessment tool, and to complete this project, it needs bilingual parents and child care professionals, including teachers, to rate a child between 1 and 36 months of age in both English and Spanish. The raters also need to complete a short survey of their language use to ensure that they are truly bilingual. The entire process takes only 15 minutes or so to complete and can be done either with paper forms or on-line.
In addition to the satisfaction of helping to assure the validity of an important assessment tool, raters will receive a $5.00 Wal-Mart gift card.
