The Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC), a non-profit organization funded primarily by the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is looking for a Development Specialist to join it’s Land Management team. A Development Specialist performs highly specialized and technical work in support of public and privately assisted programs and projects generally designed to produce community development projects including, but not limited to, business, economic and residential developments. Employees in this class perform duties under the general supervision and assignment of the Vice President of Land Management. Employees have a wide range of general responsibilities including assisting in monitoring project developments, analysis of financial feasibility and preparation of documentation relating to major development projects, preparation of marketing information, preparation of funding proposals, providing technical assistance through existing and innovative forums, workshops and programs, and communicating program policies and procedures for profit and non-profit corporations. Connect with representatives of community groups, contractors and other agency departments and related housing agencies to coordinate project activities and resolve complaints relating to project developments are significant aspects.
