Job description
Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has an opening for a RENAISSANCE GROUP DEVELOPMENT OFFICER. Primary responsibilities of this development position which focuses on Federation donors and volunteers in the age 22- to 45-year age range include:
- Coordinate with volunteers and professionals to plan and implement fundraising, education and outreach events.
- Participate in the identification of new donors.
- Personally close, as well as facilitate the closing of annual gifts from assigned prospects.
- Ensure that donors are properly stewarded, cultivated and recognized for their gifts.
- Work with volunteers to determine and carry out Renaissance Group goals and objectives.
- Create and implement outreach events that are both social and service oriented.
Successful candidates for this position will possess the following skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Face-to-face solicitation experience
- Demonstrated ability to motivate leadership
- Demonstrated event planning experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Basic knowledge of the Philadelphia Jewish community preferred
- Familiarity with national and international Jewish issues preferred
- Ability to work evenings
- Access to a car
