Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Development Manager will manage Communities In Schools’ foundation and grant solicitation strategy, current relationships with existing private and government funding sources, establish relationships with high net worth donors and prospects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Generation
Research, qualify, and create cultivation strategies to expand pipeline of funding prospects.
Grant Writing and Reporting
Work with the team of grant consultants to write powerful proposals and reports for foundations, government funders, and selected family foundations and corporate supporters.
Donor Management and Support
Coordinate with senior leadership to leverage for donor cultivation and stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree required from an accredited college or university.
- Two years+ in sales, fundraising, and events.
- Knowledge of high net worth community via local business, civic and cultural networks.
- Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends based on special event schedule.
- Strong knowledge and efficient use of Microsoft Suite. Sales force experience a plus
