The majority of the organization’s senior leadership team originate from corporate backgrounds and are relentlessly focused on improving the organization’s impact and constantly looking at new ways to bring more supporters to the mission. Back on My Feet is proud to have built corporate board partnerships with companies that include Accenture, Ace Cash Express, AT&T and Marriott. The Development Manager will report to the VP of Development and will work closely with the organization’s CEO. This person will ideally be based out of Philadelphia or NYC (Washington DC may be considered). The Development Manager position is a new and exciting role within BoMF’s National team.
Essential Functions:
- Manage national and regional corporate relationships to include correspondence with national and regional contacts, drafting corporate proposals and presentation slides and executing on partnership initiatives and sponsor benefits
- Execute on foundation fundraising to include grant research, writing and drafting foundation proposals
- Support individual fundraising to include drafting correspondence, appeal and stewardship letters and donor research
- Support CEO and VP of Development in management of National Board of Directors including scheduling as needed, preparing presentations materials and drafting notes and follow up communications
- Support CEO and VP of Development in managing individual meetings with Board of Directors, prospective donors and partners
- Liaise with local teams to execute on national campaigns and initiatives and coordinate national and regional partnerships with local presence
- Manage national office donor data management and data entry into CRM
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of development and fundraising experience
- Nonprofit experience working with national or regional corporate partners or comparable for-profit experience
- Experience in grant writing or major donor cultivation preferred
- Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Experience communicating and interacting with senior level and c-suite executives
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
