St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children (SCFC), a grant making public charity in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is hiring a full-time Development Director who will report directly to the President and CEO.

About SCFC

SCFC’s mission is to support the health and well-being of children in the community served by

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children through programs in the areas of care, outreach, research, and education. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of the children living in North Philadelphia by identifying and addressing the greatest challenges for those children. SCFC accomplishes that goal by investing in and championing the most effective children’s health interventions. SCFC fully funds a number of successful initiatives, including the Community Oral Health Initiative and Farm to Families. SCFC also supports charitable programs and projects at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children through its designated funds Grantmaking.

Development Director Responsibilities:

The Development Director leverages external funding to support SCFC’s grantmaking initiatives. He or she:

– Creates and executes a comprehensive annual development plan to support organization’s current growth trajectory that includes individual and institutional fundraising, planned giving, and special events.

– Creates and uses systems to track all development activity.

– Creates and/or oversees creation of materials—print, web-based, or other—to support development activities.

– Supervises external development consultants.

– Represents the organization and its programs in diverse settings.
