The Director of Development works within the Agency’s Fundraising and External Affairs department, reporting to the Vice President of Fundraising and External Affairs. The Director works within the department to establish the agency’s development plan, focusing on agency-wide foundation and government funding streams; while also managing and supporting programmatic funding opportunities. This position has responsibility overseeing development personnel, grant prospecting and submission, management and oversight of the agency development database, and building necessary internal and external relationships to reach agency/department goals.
Minimum qualifications:
Proven track record in fundraising with 5+ years Leadership experience in strategic development, institutional public affairs, fundraising, grant writing and administration in a non-profit social services setting; Familiarity with social services and the Latino Community are also a plus. Excellent team-player with expert ability to multi-task and build relationships throughout the agency and with external partners.
Minimum education:
BA/BS degree from an accredited college or University with a concentration in English, Communications, or related Field. Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Non-profit Administration Preferred.
