Through four citywide initiatives – Chess, Debate, Drama, and Scrabble – ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships helps more than 4,500 youth each year discover passions and friendships that can last a lifetime. Founded in 2002 by noted educator Marciene Mattleman to raise awareness of the dangers of the after school hours for unsupervised youth, ASAP has established itself as a leader and trusted collaborator in Philadelphia’s Out-of-School Time (OST) sector. Supported by strategic partnerships with city agencies, community organizations and a broad network of stakeholders, ASAP has served more than 100,000 school- aged youth since its inception.
The Development & Communications Coordinator is a dual role that works closely with ASAP’s Director of Development & Communications to coordinate and assist the organization’s fundraising and marketing & communications efforts. In collaboration with the Director of Development & Communications, the Development & Communications Coordinator is responsible for streamlining and maintaining ASAP’s grant and reporting processes as well as sustaining relationships with foundations, corporations, government entities and individual supporters. The Coordinator will also work with the Director to write and deliver the organization’s key messaging through print and digital marketing collateral including, but not limited to ASAP’s annual report, website, email campaigns, media relations, and social media.
The Development & Communications Coordinator is part of ASAP’s Development and Communications department which currently consists of the Director of Development and Communications and collaborates with the Interim Executive Director, Web & Systems Administrator, and program staff as it pertains to development and communications workflows.
This full-time position is hybrid-remote, but applicants must be located in the Philadelphia area.
