Development Associate, Summer Search Philadelphia
Posted by Summer Search Philadelphia on February 4, 2020
While young people from low-income communities – who are disproportionately young people of color – face systemic inequities in school, in the workforce, and in life, they possess unique strengths, resilience and tremendous potential. When provided with support and resources, these young people fulfill their potential and achieve success in school, work and life.
Through a combination of mentoring and transformative experiences, Summer Search supports young people to successfully transition from adolescence into adulthood. We aim to unleash the potential of our young people while also building a toolkit for navigating and challenging systemic barriers to higher education and career opportunities.
Summer Search Philadelphia is seeking a highly organized and nimble Development Associate to support the region’s $1 million fundraising program which is primarily focused on major giving and events. Joining a small development team in Philadelphia, this hire will work in concert with the Associate Director of Development in which to manage daily development operations, track and report on donor data, execute fundraising events, assist in grant writing and provide support in donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship. This is a great opportunity for an emerging professional to learn from an experienced nonprofit team, wear many hats, as well as help a regional site of a national nonprofit build its capacity to serve more youth.
