Development Associate, Neighborhood Interfaith Movement
Posted on: March 23, 2012
The Neighborhood Interfaith Movement (NIM) began over 40 years ago as an organization devoted to interfaith dialogue and embracing diversity.
Today NIM continues to grow as a non-sectarian alliance of over 50 religious congregations and faith institutions.
Over the years, NIM has devoted its attention to the most pressing issues in the community. NIM programs now affect one in eight preschool age children and one in two long-term care residents in the city of Philadelphia.
• NIM’s Early Learning Alliance (ELA) training agency helps child care professionals acquire the skills, information and resources they need to create top-notch childcare facilities, from home-based programs to large-scale centers.
• NIM’s Resources for Older Adult Living (ROAL) program helps people 55+ live healthy and connected lives by providing the resources they need to continue living in their neighborhoods.
• NIM’s team of Long-Term Care Ombudsmen advocate on behalf of long-term care facility residents and educate them about their rights.
• NIM‘s alliance of member congregations and religious institutions has embraced diversity and set aside differences in order to address real societal difficulties.
NIM’s Development Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day fundraising activities of the organization, as well as staffing of the Development Committee and ad hoc special event committees, with the overall mission of implementing the organization’s development plan according to an agreed upon timeline.
