Mazzoni Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health and wellness organization, headquartered in Center City, Philadelphia. Mazzoni Center’s mission is to provide quality comprehensive health and wellness services in an LGBT-focused environment, while preserving the dignity and improving the quality of life of the individuals we serve. Mazzoni Center seeks to hire a Development & Grant Manager to identify, coordinate, manage, and acquire additional funding from public, private, corporate, and independent entities to increase revenue for the organization, its staff, and its work. Mazzoni Center’s current funding streams include small family foundations to large, international grantmakers, from small local businesses to multinational Fortune 1000 companies, as well as government and public agency funders at the local, state, and federal levels. The Grant & Development Manager reports to the Director of Development & Marketing and works closely with program directors and the Executive Director. A successful candidate should have excellent written, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently and consistently to achieve goals and complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner. The Grant & Development Manager will research prospects and proposals for programs, government support, capital projects, signature events, and sponsorships. The position also requires an individual who will maintain accurate records and prepare reports. The Grant & Development Manager will work with the Director of Development & Marketing to develop funding strategies and serve as a member of the team to design development materials and organizational materials. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with no less than 3-5 years of experience in development-related writing required. The ability to perform quality grants management to ensure that the funder data, reports, and applications are accurate and up to date; Experience in research, evaluating, and developing strategies to pursue foundation, corporate, and government funding sources; Strength in producing original grant proposals and solicitation packages Commitment to Mazzoni Center’s mission and the LGBT, low-income, and HIV/AIDS communities served by the organization; Attention to detail and the ability to move along in a fast-paced work environment.
