The Children’s Aid Society recommends Developing Community Schools, Community Learning Centers, Extended-service Schools and Multi-service Schools: International Exemplars for Practice, Policy and Research, edited by professors Hal Lawson and Dolf van Veen, respectively from the State University of New York at Albany and Windesheim University (Netherlands).
This book focuses on new school and community designs that address poverty, social exclusion, and social isolation.
