Developing a Communications Plan
Posted by La Salle Nonprofit Center on October 16, 2017
Does your organization suffer from the lack of a strategic, intentional approach to communication that clearly defines your messages, your audience and the tools you will use to achieve your objectives? Do you have a plan that builds relationships and maximizes marketing efforts? Participants in this class will learn how to create a comprehensive communication plan, from assessing communication or marketing needs to designing communication strategies and tactics. You will be amazed at the organization-wide clarity that comes from defining the message, identifying the sender and the target recipients and the tools needed to convey the message.
A good communication plan will build relationships with key publics, including volunteers, donors, and the media, as well as reduce potential risks. This class will provide a thorough overview of how this is done, and done well.
