Designing for Children: Introduction to Key Principles and Application to New Media

This webinar will introduce the Design Guide principles for children and discuss their application in new media such as personal assistants (e.g. Google Home).

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Learn Design Guide principles for children
  • Understand the application of Design Guide principles in new media
  • Discuss examples of these applications, such as with personal assistants like Google Home

Dr. Mamta Shah
Postdoctoral Scholar, GLIDE Lab
Drexel University School of Education

Dr. Shah is a postdoctoral scholar in the Games and Learning in Interactive Digital Environments (GLIDE) Lab housed in the School of Education. She teaches and conducts research on the theoretical and practical applications of teaching, learning, and assessing with digital environments such as games, in formal and informal learning environments.
