DEP Growing Greener Plus and Environmental Education Grants, SE PA Coordinator/Fellow

Posted by Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light on July 19, 2022

Pennsylvania Interfaith Power and Light (PA IPL) is a community of congregations, faith-based organizations, and individuals of faith responding to climate change as an ethical and moral issue, through advocacy, education, energy conservation, energy efficiency, stewardship, and the use and promotion of clean, renewable energy.

PA IPL recently received two grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). A three-year grant in the DEP Growing Greener Plus program, and a one-year grant in the DEP Environmental Education Grant program. The one-year Env Edu grant has the potential to expand to three-years based on DEP review of our performance in Year 1.

PA IPL is seeking a part-time, contract-based SE PA Coordinator/Fellow for work in the Philadelphia area to assist in designing and delivering environmental education programs related to both grants. This person should be passionate about Climate Justice and the interfaith mission of PA IPL for work in specific Environmental Justice Communities in SE PA.

The SE PA Coordinator/Fellow will work under the direct supervision of the PA IPL Development Associate, the PA IPL/DEP Coordinator, or other relevant regional staff.
