Posted by on May 6, 2005
Democracy Matters is hiring part-time interns during the academic year to build coalitions of student activists on campus, organize teach-ins on money in politics, train college students to run workshops in highschools, coordinate with other colleges in sponsoring reform legislation, lobby and educate elected officials about campaign finance reform, and run petition drives and door-to-door canvasses to educate students on the issue of money in politics. Democracy Matters provides Campus Coordinators with a stipend of $750 per semester, as well as professional support. For more information, contact Joan Mandle at: [email protected].
