Delivery Driver Needed

The Philadelphia Public School Notebook is hiring a delivery person to distribute our independent, quarterly newspaper to public schools and community organizations in Philadelphia. The job requires full days of work for two weeks at a time, approximately every 3 months.
Start date: May 26, 2004

Candidates must have their own automobile and insurance. Candidates must be self-motivated and reliable. Previous delivery experience in Philadelphia is desirable, but not necessary. Ideal candidate will be able to commit to position for at least one year, from May 2004 to March 2005.

Delivery person will be paid $4 for each delivery, totaling approximately $800 per quarter.

Delivery dates for 2004-2005:
(Delivery person must be available during normal business hours on
weekdays during these time periods.)
May 26 ? June 9
September 22 ? October 6
November 24 ? December 8
March 10 ? March 24

The mission of the Notebook is to promote informed public involvement in the Philadelphia public schools and to contribute to the development of a strong, collaborative movement for positive educational change in city schools and for schools that serve all children well. The paper is in its tenth year of publication and has a circulation of 52,000 copies, most of them distributed free of charge through schools, libraries, and community organizations
