DVLF honors community leaders
The Delaware Valley Legacy Fund will sponsor HEROES on Saturday, September 15th at the Triumph Brewery at 117 Chestnut Street from 6-10pm. It?s the group?s annual event to honor community members and organizations dedicated to building bridges.
Community activists created DVLF in 1993, after more than a year exploring the feasibility of establishing a fund to benefit the sexual minority community in the tri-state area. Their mission was to improve the quality of life and create a legacy for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex community (LGBTI), allowing everyone to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to the future.
Honorees at this year?s HEROES event include PA Governor Ed Rendell, the Philadelphia Gay Tourism Caucus, Morgan, Morgan Cheshire & Schnader Harrison Segal Lewis, LLP, and Merrill Lynch.
