October DVG conference focuses on innovation
Registration is now open for Delaware Valley Grantmakers’ 2009 Fall Conference – Information * Innovation * Inspiration, being held Thursday, October 27th from 9:30am to 3pm at the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia.

The annual event brings together grantmakers, nonprofit executives and public and civic leaders from across the region for a day of networking, idea sharing and dialogue.
The 2009 conference will feature remarks and conversation with one of the philanthropic sector’s foremost thought leaders, Paul Brest, President of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and co-author of the book Money Well Spent.
Responding to Brest’s commentary will be our own regional philanthropic leaders, Feather O. Houstoun, President, William Penn Foundation and Bruce Melgary, Executive Director, The Lenfest Foundation.
Loraine Ballard Morrill, News Director and Community Affairs Director at Clear Channel Radio, will moderate a discussion of innovative local partnerships that are addressing social problems.
Also on the agenda is a representative from the Obama Administration who has been invited to talk about plans for the new Social Innovation Fund.
Space is limited advance registration is encouraged. The registration fee is $145 by October 20th ($195 on/after October 21st).
