Delaware County Feeding Forum

Delco forum discusses child hunger
There are 42,000 children in Delaware County who qualify for free and reduced-price meals at school. From 2008 to 2012, the number of eligible students rose 20% or by about 3,500 children, according to a recent study.
When school lets out for the summer, many parents of these children will struggle to provide healthy meals at home. To help these families make sure their children are properly fed, a Feeding Forum will be held on Wednesday, March 26th, 1-3:30pm at Chester City Hall, 1 Fourth St., Chester. The forum is meant to recruit volunteer sites to serve free meals to hungry children throughout the summer.
