Join Green Philly this MLK Day (January 20, 2025) as we come together to support Sharing Excess, continuing its mission to revolutionize food sharing by solving the logistical barriers of rescue and redistribution. MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
Our volunteer project will take place at the Philadelphia Wholesale Warehouse (6700 Essington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153) where we will be helping Sharing Excess with the collection and distribution of the fruits, veggies and non-perishable items they receive for the day.
Volunteers will need to complete waiver prior and can do so online here. Gloves and Aprons will be provided.
