Data Analyst
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now – to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn’t.
The Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National MS Society is currently seeking a Data Analyst for our office located in Philadelphia, PA. The Data Analyst is responsible for business reporting, data integrity and systems support; ensuring all data and chapter-based technology needs are met utilizing the tools recommended by the Department Director and our National office.
The Data Analyst is responsible for all aspects of business reporting; managing the full cycle of output requests, reporting, and workflow – construction, generation, analysis, and the improvement of reporting tools. The Data Analyst will work closely with individuals in fundraising/development, programs and services and advocacy to ensure reporting needs are being met.
The Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing the integrity of all data recorded in the enterprise database systems; ensuring the accurate recording of information, donations, registrations and client information on a timely basis. They will also provide technical support to event participants and donors seeking assistance with donations, registrations, or user logins for personal web pages.
Requirements:
Technical Skills Required (Intermediate to Expert Skill Level)
Microsoft Office Suite – Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Microsoft Windows 7/Office 2010
Database Management Software
SQL
Business Objects
Internet Explorer
Data Entry
Other:
A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, IS or related field (preferred).
Experience working with a non-profit organization, association or agency is a plus.
Knowledge of data entry, operating systems, and workflow processes.
Knowledge of data collection, reporting, and analysis.
Knowledge of social media (Face Book, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
Proficiency in office software systems and database management.
Proven abilities in multi-tasking and problem-solving.
Demonstrated abilities in managing and building collaborative relationships.
An attention to detail and accuracy of work are paramount.
Ability to work in a “matrixed” organizational structure is a plus.
Flexibility in scheduling to attend meetings, assist with programs and events in the evenings and on weekends.
Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials
