The Southeast Philadelphia Collaborative (SEPC) informs, educates and organizes a broad and diverse network of community partners, policymakers and stakeholders to leverage greater access to resources and opportunities that address the needs of youth in Southeast Philadelphia. We are looking for an individual to supervise our youth (14-18 years old) dancing classes which are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the United Communities Houston Center Teen Lounge, on the corner of 8th and Snyder (2029 South 8th St). On Wednesdays, the instructor would be expected to lead the youth in lesson-based dance classes. The hired individual should have knowledge of hip-hop, breaking, pop ‘n’ lock and basic choreo. Thursdays are used as an open dance studio day in which the teacher would supervise youth and provide guidance and one on one instruction as needed. Seeking individuals who are energetic, knowledgeable and youth friendly.

 Applicant should have experience working with youth.

 Clearances (child-abuse, FBI and criminal record) are required before applicant can start. It is preferable if applicant already has these clearances.

 Applicant should have knowledge and/or experience in hip-hop, breaking, pop ‘n’ lock and basic choreo.

Start date is immediately. Hourly pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
