Cybersecurity: Our Shared Responsibility, A Cybersecurity Summit, Oct. 15

In an ever-evolving world of technology with information readily available at our fingertips, it is a shared responsibility to protect ourselves and our employers from hackers. With intelligent techniques, increased attacking tools and consumers constantly connecting to multiple devices and networks, cyberattacks are becoming more of an epidemic than ever.

Join us as a part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month to explore today’s cybersecurity landscape. Presented by Community College of Philadelphia’s Department of Computer Technologies, the Cybersecurity Club, and the Division of Business and Technology – This free event is open to undergraduate and graduate students, and professionals.

During the summit, you will hear from top experts in the field on the below topics:

  • Cybersecurity Framework for Critical Infrastructure – Presenter: James Carty, Chief Security Officer of the Philadelphia Division of the FBI, and adjunct professor at Community College of Philadelphia
  • A Career Outlook in Cybersecurity – Presenter: Leon Li, Vice President for Comcast Cybersecurity
  • Physical Security: A Shared Responsibility – Presenter: Shawn Sheikhzadeh, Founder of Central New Jersey InfoSec
  • Blockchain and GDPR — How do you forget what cannot be forgotten? – Presenters: Joshua Marpet, Cofounder of Red Lion, and Scott Lyons, CEO of Red Lion
  • It’s a Little Cloudy Up There! – Presenter: Vana Khurana, Cloud Security Architect, The Vanguard Group, and Director of Training at Cloud Security Alliance Delaware Valley Chapter
  • Cybersecurity: Our Shared Responsibility – Presenter: Dave Snyder, Chief Information Security Leader, Independence Blue Cross
