Curated Series Identifying Responses to Poverty
Posted by Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity on July 7, 2020
Spotlight on Poverty & Opportunity has partnered with the Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) to present a curated series that identifies effective responses to poverty by changemakers across the United States. This story set is part of a monthly collaboration between Spotlight and SJN that will highlight important stories from the Solutions Story Tracker® database, which now contains over 8,000 stories from over 1,000 newsrooms around the world: https://storytracker.solutionsjournalism.org/.
This month’s curated collection includes teachers in New Jersey supporting students during the coronavirus, youth in North Carolina flipping an abandoned prison into a farm, and local groups offering financial aid to black businesses in Mississippi.
