Culture & Cognition: Teaching STEM to Motivate Urban Learners

Looking for a high quality, affordable way to introduce an innovation and “maker” curriculum in your classroom? We’re proud to announce Temple Engineering is now offering Pennsylvania educators ACT48 credits for our 2-part course “Culture & Cognition: Teaching STEM to Motivate Urban Learners”.
The course is based on our award winning MESA engineering curriculum and is perfect for middle and high school teachers who want to blend science, engineering and computer science in a package that’s already aligned with NGSS and PA Common Core standards. You’ll have the skills and ongoing support to help your students build an automated prosthetic device for $50 that could compete to represent Pennsylvania at MESA USA nationals next June 2016!
The course is $150 and provides 8 hours of ACT48 credits. The first session is November 7th at the College of Engineering from 8:30a-4pm. Seating is limited to 30 teachers!!
