Cultural Stories: Writing in Community Spaces – Apr 24

Explore how to connect your students to their community spaces during this special workshop. Hear from Iraqi artist and educator Yaroub Al-Obaidi about his community writing projects. Participate in a writing marathon, in which participants will spend time freewriting in the Middle East Galleries with the exhibitions as inspiration. Reflect on these activities and prepare to translate these experiences into a plan for deeper and more personal engagements with public & community spaces.
Registrants will receive a boxed lunch and earn Acts 48 credits. Parking passes are available with advance notice.
Cost: $15 per person (includes lunch)
