Overview:
The Ecwiti Group is proud to offer Cultural Sensitivity Training for Mental and Medical Health Professionals. These trainings are being sponsored by the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council. The purpose of these trainings are to ultimately eliminate health disparities by improving the quality of care within healthcare systems. These trainings will be administered in a didactic and practical format. In the didactic portion of these trainings, participants will receive a comprehensive instruction on using intercultural humility and intercultural sensitivity to develop relationships and communicate effectively with patients cross-culturally. In the practical portion of the training, participants will experience scenarios that will allow them to employ the skills they learned in the didactic portion of the training. In the last segment of the training, participants will have the opportunity to go to workshops to get a snapshot of the training concepts at use in the community.

September 12, 2016
This is a one day free training. Checkin starts at 8:30 am. The training will begin at 9:00 am and end promptly at 5:00 pm. Lunch will be provided.
