Posted by on October 13, 2008
The Association of Fundraising Professionals will host Foundations are People, Too: Cultivating Relationships with Foundation Representatives, on Thursday, October 23rd.
The half-day seminar will explore techniques for cultivating foundations and building partnerships that will both help organizations win funding for their programs and enable foundations to achieve their philanthropic goals. It will be presented by Gloria Pugliese, CFRE, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at La Salle University in Pennsylvania.
Participants will learn to identify methods of initial foundation contact and when to use them; explore stewardship techniques to enhance existing relationships; and understand what foundations are trying to achieve with their grant making.
The session will be held from 9am-noon with registration and a continental breakfast beginning at 8:30am. It will take place at Loews Philadelphia, 1200 Market Street, Philadelphia. Cost is $75 for AFP-GPC members and $95 for non-members. Three CFRE points are available to participants. To register, visit http://www.afpgpc.org/. For more information call 215-473-2261.
