C?sar Ch?vez Campaign
Posted by on March 17, 2006
In honor of C?sar E. Ch?vez’ birthday, the C?sar Ch?vez Campaign begins on March 31 by helping K-12 students take action in their communities utilizing service-learning experiences to connect civic engagement to meaningful learning in the classroom. By following the powerful example C?sar himself set through his work, students will gain historical perspective on who C?sar E. Ch?vez was, and follow in his footsteps by creating a vision for a better world and implementing a service-learning project that makes a difference in their communities.
The C?sar Ch?vez Campaign is a program of the C?sar Ch?vez Foundation. Grade-appropriate teacher tool-kits for the C?sar Ch?vez Campaign will be available free-of-charge via download (beginning March 17) at the Foundation’s website (http://www.cesarchavezfoundation.org).
