Creating a Climate for Service Learning Success

Dear Colleagues:
A new publication from the American Association of Community Colleges, “Creating a Climate for Service Learning Success,” provides ideas for developing and institutionalizing service learning on a college campus. The 40-page monograph features a variety of replicable examples from 13 colleges that participated in AACC’s 2006-2009 national grant program, Community Colleges Broadening Horizons through Service Learning.
While this monograph was written with community colleges in mind, it includes topics and tips that may also be useful for four-year colleges and universities, K-12 schools, and community-based organizations involved in service learning and community engagement.
