COVID-19 Resources for Democratic Engagement Planning

Posted by ALL IN Challenge on April 7, 2020

Now more than ever it is important for campuses to have a plan in place to account for in-person and online democratic engagement. These plans will need to account for the possibility that physical distancing and remote learning could continue or return during the fall semester impacting the general election on November 3, 2020.

The ALL IN Challenge has compiled a list of resources (https://www.allinchallenge.org/resource-hub/covid-19/) to help campuses stay up-to-date with changing election dates, plan to increase voter participation in remaining primaries and the fall general election, and share updates and information with the campus community. We will continue to update this list and work together to provide the best support possible in these unprecedented and uncertain times.

The ALL IN Challenge COVID-19 Resource page is not exhaustive and includes resources for: State and National Campus Partners, Election and Voter Registration Date Changes, Online Voter Registration, Absentee Ballot Request, National Voter Registration Day, Vote Early Day, +1 the Polls, #VoteTogether (parties at the polls), Issue and Ballot Research, Recruiting Poll Workers, Democratic Engagement Action Planning, Census, Virtual State Summits, and Example Social Media Posts and Emails from campuses and partners.

If your campus needs additional resources not covered here, please let us know so state and national partners can work to create and provide them. Contact: Ryan Drysdale at ryan@civicnation.org.
