Organization/Program Summary: Families of Murder Victims (FMV) is a program of the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia, a non-profit organization that strives to address the cycle of violence within families—-from prevention to treatment. FMV provides information, advocacy, and emotional support to the families and friends of homicide victims. FMV works in conjunction with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Philadelphia Police Department/Homicide Detectives.

Position Summary: The FMV Preliminary Hearing Coordinator is the lead in first contact with families that have lost a loved one due to homicide. The FMV Preliminary Hearing Coordinator provides direct services to co-victims of homicide over the telephone and in court. The FMV Preliminary Hearing Coordinator is responsible, reliable, organized, and committed to advocating on behalf of homicide co-victims.
