We are pleased to release the Corporation’s first State Profiles and Performance Report.
This report (web link below) presents performance results achieved by Corporation programs in 2002-2003 and sections include historical data for the last four program years. While the Corporation presents performance data on its programs annually in the Performance and Accountability Report, this represents the first report to offer disaggregated performance data by state and program. Going forward, this report will be included as a second volume to the Corporation’s Performance and Accountability Report.
Please note that we will soon also release the “State Profiles” that you’ve seen in the past and that provide current year data for grantees, participants, and funding in each state. We’ll notify you when that report is available on the web.
The Corporation views this performance report as an ongoing process of increasing the amount of transparency in our reporting of performance data. We will continue working with the field and other constituents to develop measures of performance and ways of reporting them that will help all of us do our jobs better and spotlight our successes.
This initial project was a major undertaking but the extensive cooperation and thoughtful comments of our partners made it a reality.
We hope you will enjoy reviewing this report.
