Job description
This position is responsible for prospecting and networking with donors to the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. Additionally, this position works to identify, cultivate, steward and close cash and in-kind corporate gifts and sponsorships at all levels.
Last year, Federation’s efforts through EITC and OSTC brought over $3 million to Philadelphia’s Hebrew day schools! We anticipate this position cultivating relationships with approximately 75 corporate prospects to raise $250,000 in financial and in-kind corporate gifts.
Key Activities Will Include
- Researching and networking with potential donors to EITC and OSTC
- Conducting cold calls and meetings with current and potential donors to describe and close program gifts
- Assisting donors with the application process
- Identification of sponsorship gift prospects using formal and informal tactics
- Soliciting sponsorship gifts through cold calls, volunteers’ relationships and stewarding current sponsors.
- Incorporating volunteers and professionals from Federation and other Jewish Community organizations where appropriate
- Ensure that sponsors are properly recognized and stewarded for their gifts
- Create and develop marketing materials, customized proposals and targeted mailings to promote sponsorship opportunities
- Integrate EITC, OSTC development efforts and sponsorship where appropriate
